Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryoto Sagat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jonny Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sagat looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sagat is trying to control Thomas's posture but Thomas avoids it.
Thomas is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sagat will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Thomas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Thomas tries to advance to mount but Sagat denies him.
You can see the frustration on Sagat's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sagat tries to buck Thomas off but Thomas is having none of it.
Sagat is working hard here to advance position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Thomas shoots for a takedown but Sagat saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Thomas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sagat takes the fight into the clinch.

Sagat wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sagat drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thomas pulls his leg out and moves away.
Thomas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sagat is fending him off so far but Thomas persists. Nope, Sagat circles away and we're back to standing.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Thomas holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That's time! Sagat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sagat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Thomas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sagat trying to control but Thomas is having none of it.
Thomas is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Sagat has taken his back!
Thomas preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Sagat.
Sagat looking to break Thomas's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Thomas remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sagat will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Sagat fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thomas, pushing him back against the cage.
Sagat goes for a takedown in the clinch but Thomas prevents it.
Sagat is trying to drag Thomas to the mat but Thomas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Thomas drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sagat manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Thomas has Sagat in his guard.
Thomas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Sagat wants to pass the guard but Thomas is keeping the position.
Thomas is adopting a defensive guard.
Thomas is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Thomas is defending against the submission attempts here by Sagat.
Sagat thows a huge punch but Thomas dodges it nicely.
Thomas is not content to let Sagat control the position.
Sagat is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Thomas is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Thomas is controlling an arm, preventing Sagat from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sagat wants to finish this one by submission but Thomas is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sagat.
BOOM! Sagat connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sagat tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ryoto Sagat showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sagat has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
