The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ireland closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hovsepian to the mat! Hovsepian manages to get full guard.

Hovsepian is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ireland defends well.

Hovsepian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ireland gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ireland stands up and waves to Hovsepian to follow him.

Ireland has managed to clinch.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ireland accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ireland stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Hovsepian throws up his legs and catches Ireland in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Ireland tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Hovsepian! That came out of nowhere!
