Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Redd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for King Morris has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Redd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Morris's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Redd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morris swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Redd forces his way into half guard.

Redd is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Morris has hold of Redd's hands but Redd slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Morris wants to control but Redd is keeping busy.
Redd wants to pass to mount but Morris is defending the position.

Morris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Morris pushes Redd off but Redd dives into side control.
Redd throwing strikes but Morris manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Morris goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Redd has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Morris but great work by Redd.

Redd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Morris knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Redd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Morris can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Redd lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Morris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Redd seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Redd drops back, looking for a kneebar! Morris looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Morris looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Morris!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Redd wants to get up but he can't break Morris's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Redd seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Redd is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Morris is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Morris has escaped and now he's on top!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Morris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Redd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Morris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Redd pinned against the cage. Redd gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Morris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Redd's waist but Redd gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Morris off to one side.

Morris wants to get back to his feet but Redd is dominant here and he's now got Morris's back!

Redd is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Morris has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Redd has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Morris taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Redd doesn't care though - he's delighted!
