Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Boushay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gay Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby Boushay!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gay Al!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Al changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boushay looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Boushay sneaks back into half guard.

Al seems to be looking for submissions.
Boushay has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Al is working away from the top position though.
Boushay is pressing down on Al's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Boushay wants to stand up but Al is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Al tries to free his leg and advance position but Boushay is retaining full guard.

Al drops back looking for a leg! Boushay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boushay manages to kick Al off! Al jumps back into Boushay's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Al looks for a takedown but Boushay sprawls well.

Al walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Al shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Boushay trying to control but Al postures up.

Al seems to be working for a kimura but Boushay defends the submission attempt.

Al is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boushay defends it well.
Al looks gassed!

Boushay is positioning himself well to prevent Al advancing to mount.

Boushay makes his way to full guard, as Al worked for a kimura.
Boushay is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Boushay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Boushay is looking to stand up but Al isn't so interested in that idea.

Al postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Boushay is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Al, into his guard.

Al is staying active underneath Boushay, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boushay is looking to take a break and control but Al is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boushay content to control rather than advance.
Boushay prevents Al from improving his position.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Boushay will probably get the nod.

Al tries to move into range but Boushay moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Boushay lands with a nice body punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Al takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Al keeps the fight on the outside.
Boushay throws a left that rocks Al and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Boushay dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Al regain composure!

Boushay decides to stand up, so the ref orders Al to his feet.
Boushay fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boushay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Al circles away quickly and effectively.
Al is breathing heavily.
Al takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Boushay scores with a body shot.
Bobby Boushay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Boushay stalks Al and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Al's face. Al staggers backwards, shaken.
Boushay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Al circles away quickly and effectively.
Boushay fails with an attempt to clinch.
A left and a right from Boushay both land. Nice combination.
Boushay wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Boushay throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Al.
Boushay cracks Al with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Boushay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Al circles away quickly and effectively.
Boushay scores with a shot to the body.
Boushay works Al's body with a nice hook.
Boushay doesn't manage to clinch there - Al circles away.

Boushay moves into range and clinches up with Al.
Boushay wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Al has him pressed against the cage.
Al drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boushay pulls his leg out and moves away.
Boushay's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Boushay duly obliges.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boushay throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Horrible takedown by Al or perhaps it was just good defense by Boushay which made him look bad.
Al avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Boushay darts in and clinches Al up against the cage.
Al drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boushay pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bobby Boushay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gay Al.
Boushay lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Boushay is looking to wear down Al with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Boushay digs a good hook to Al's body.
Boushay tries to clinch but Al moves out of range.
Boushay doesn't manage to clinch there - Al circles away.
Al looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boushay is fending him off so far but Al persists. Nope, Boushay circles away and we're back to standing.
Bobby Boushay is winning the standup battle so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boushay moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Boushay darts in and clinches Al up against the cage.
Al jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boushay walks away with a smile on his face. Al gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Boushay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Al tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boushay smiles and moves away.
Al takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Al takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Al showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Boushay.
Boushay displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Al changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boushay tries to avoid it but Al manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boushay to the ground. Boushay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Al takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Al has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Boushay.

Boushay goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Al will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boushay looks to land a combination but Al avoids it well.
Al dodges the punch combination from Boushay.
Boushay misses with a series of wild punches.

Al fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boushay sprawls well initially but Al persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Al is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Boushay doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Al.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Al looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Boushay dominated that second round.
That's time! Boushay's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Boushay throws a right and a left that both miss.
Al looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boushay is fending him off so far but Al persists. Nope, Boushay circles away and we're back to standing.
Al avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Al has a takedown stuffed.
Boushay is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Al can do to turn this around?
Boushay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Al moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boushay throws a nice looking combination but Al bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Al shoots in but Boushay avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bobby Boushay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gay Al.

Boushay throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Al fails to land the takedown.

Boushay lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Al tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boushay swivels and escapes.
Boushay fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Al on the side of the head.
Gay Al seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Boushay!
Boushay scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Boushay throws a right hand that Al ducks under and follows up with a left that Al also avoids with ease.
Al has a takedown stuffed.

Boushay fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Al, pushing him back against the cage.
Boushay misses with a body punch.

Boushay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boushay scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Al will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Donk. Boushay catches Al right on the button with a cross.
Boushay misses with a wild combination.

Al scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Al is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boushay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Boushay wants to get back to his feet but Al drags him back down.

Al in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Boushay is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gay Al!
