Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Joshua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armen Petrosyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joshua comes to the cage accompanied by Parklife- Blur. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Armen Petrosyan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Joshua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Armen Petrosyan!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrosyan closes the distance and pushes Joshua back into the cage.
Petrosyan misses with an elbow over the top.
Petrosyan cracks Joshua with a nice body shot.
Petrosyan putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Joshua in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
A nice right hand lands inside from Joshua.

With the fighters up against the cage, Petrosyan throws an elbow but misses.
Petrosyan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Joshua blocks it with crossed arms.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
With the fighters up against the cage, Petrosyan throws an elbow but misses.
Joshua lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.


It looks like Armen Petrosyan has been cut.

Joshua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Petrosyan closes the distance looking to clinch
and Joshua counters with a low kick, right behind Petrosyan 's knee.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Petrosyan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Joshua connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Petrosyan momentarily.
Petrosyan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Joshua definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Joshua connects with a body shot that sends Petrosyan's belly button to the back.

and Petrosyan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Petrosyan is still on wobbly legs! Can Joshua finish him?
Armen Petrosyan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrosyan looks winded!
Joshua darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Petrosyan's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Joshua before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Daniel Joshua!
Daniel Joshua seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
