PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Because I Can (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taran Chula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taran Chula!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
I Can throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chula's waist but Chula gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing I Can off to one side.
I Can throws a right and a left that both miss.
Chula wants to counter the offense by I Can and move into the clinch position.
Chula connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
I Can has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from I Can there as he acknowledges the shot.
I Can has been working on his balance at Holding Cell, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Chula.
I Can misses with a right hand
and Chula makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
I Can connects with a good right hand that stumbles Chula. Chula circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
I Can moves out of range as Chula strikes.
I Can misses with a series of wild punches.
Chula looks like he wants to counter punch here.
I Can connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Donk. I Can catches Chula right on the button with a cross.
Jab, jab by I Can - just one landing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Chula lands a lovely overhand right.
I Can throws a big shot that misses.
I Can has a takedown stuffed.

Chula lunges at I Can with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by I Can's hand.
Chula dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A big left from Chula misses.
Sloppy strikes from I Can. Those never looked like landing.
Chula shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Taran Chula is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Chula looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Chula throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
I Can throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chula counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps I Can thinking.
I Can throws a right hand that misses
and Chula counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Chula lands with a straight right. I Can didn't see that one coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A lazy left from Chula finds it's target.
I Can looks to land a left hand but Chula moved out of range nicely.
It seemed like Chula was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

I Can throws a predictable looking body shot
and Chula counters with a nice uppercut.
I Can throws out a loose jab but Chula uses good head movement to avoid it.
Chula digs a good body shot into I Can's ribs.
I Can is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Chula scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
I Can throws the left hand but Chula avoids the punch easily.
I Can swings widly with a right hand
and Chula counters with a nice body shot.
Chula throws a half hearted mid kick.
Chula scores with a jab to the body.
I Can misses with a takedown attempt
and Chula counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Because I Can. That's going to take a lot out of him.
I Can is breathing heavily.
Chula connects with a crisp jab.
Chula lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

I Can is rocked!
Chula has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
I Can rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chula counters with a right hand to the body.
Oh I Can is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chula throws a quick inside leg kick.
I Can circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Chula. I Can falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Chula!
