Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Travis Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koljo Kurle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Travis Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Koljo Kurle!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter avoids the head kick by Kurle.
Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kurle chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hunter tries to clinch but Kurle is having none of it.
Kurle lands a head kick!

Kurle pushes Hunter up against the cage in a clinch.
Kurle lands a body punch.
Kurle looking to throw knees to the head but Hunter is blocking nicely.

Kurle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kurle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A leg kick checked by Kurle.
Hunter throws a front kick aimed at Kurle's knee but Kurle avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunter closes the distance but Kurle moves to the side
and Kurle counters with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Kurle.
Kurle looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Kurle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hunter looks to clinch
and Kurle counters with a body kick.
Kurle looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunter is just out of range.
Hunter moves out of range of the body kick from Kurle.
Kurle lands with a slapping head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hunter blocks a head kick by Kurle.
Koljo Kurle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kurle closes the distance but Hunter moves to the side

and Hunter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kurle won't be happy with that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hunter in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunter fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kurle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hunter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kurle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hunter off and has taken his back!
Hunter is really stuck here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hunter is working hard here to advance position.
Kurle doesn't have the hooks in and Hunter manages to turn into his guard.
Hunter wants to pass the guard but Kurle is keeping the position.

Hunter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kurle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kurle has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kurle wanted to stand there but Hunter had control of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hunter lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kurle!
Hunter moves to the back position.

Hunter is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kurle is defending well though. Hunter let's go of the attempt for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
You can see the frustration on Kurle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koljo Kurle dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hunter tries to grapple but his opponent circles
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Kurle counters with an inside leg kick.
Hunter throws a leg kick which misses Kurle's front leg but catches the back leg as Kurle tries to avoid it.
Kurle dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hunter. That did some damage!
Hunter tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kurle counters with a straight right hand.
Hunter drops his hands momentarily and Kurle takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Kurle rushes Hunter and presses him up against the cage.
Kurle blocks the elbow strike.
Kurle is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hunter is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kurle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Kurle is trying to break free.
Hunter tries to break the clinch but Kurle is controlling the position.
Kurle tries to land a knee to the head but Hunter blocks with his arms.
Hunter working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Hunter missing with knees to the body.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kurle as Hunter tries to tie him up.
Kurle blocks an elbow strike from Hunter.
Kurle pressing his opponent against the cage.

Kurle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hunter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kurle dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Kurle throws a right and a left that Hunter avoids nicely.
Kurle throws a lazy head kick

and Hunter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hunter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Hunter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kurle trying to control but Hunter postures up.

Hunter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kurle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hunter.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hunter wants to pass the guard but Kurle is defending well.
Kurle is doing well to control the position and prevent Hunter from advancing to side control.
Kurle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hunter is working away from the top position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hunter is pressing down on Kurle's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kurle is holding on for now.
Hunter uses his free foot to push down on Kurle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kurle.

Hunter looking to secure an arm triangle but Kurle defends it well.
Hunter landing strikes from the mount.

Hunter swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kurle is now in Hunter's guard. A big mistake from Hunter there, giving up the dominant position!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Travis Hunter dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Hunter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kurle swivels and escapes.
Travis Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kurle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hunter moves away.
Hunter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kurle counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knees to the body from Kurle.
Hunter goes for a takedown attempt but Kurle pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kurle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kurle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kurle misses with a low kick.

Kurle clinches.
A bit of stalling here from Kurle.
Hunter takes an elbow to the temple.
Hunter can't get the takedown.

Kurle manages to break the clinch.

Kurle rushes Hunter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kurle is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Kurle prevents Hunter from breaking the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Hunter.
Kurle lands an elbow just above Hunter 's eye.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kurle lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kurle is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Nice body punch from Hunter.
Hunter tries to throw a body punch but Kurle avoids it by throwing Hunter back against the cage.
Hunter stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Kurle tries to land a knee to the head but Hunter blocks with his arms.
Kurle avoiding damage as Hunter throws knees to the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Kurle using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hunter has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hunter wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kurle blocks an uppercut.
Kurle lands a nice knee to the body.
Hunter misses with an elbow strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kurle tries a knee to the head but Hunter blocks it.
Kurle using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Nice elbow from Kurle.
Hunter pushes Kurle back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Kurle blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Come on Kurle - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hunter misses with a body punch.
Hunter doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hunter wants to get back to striking at distance but Kurle won't allow it.

Kurle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kurle circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kurle counters with a slapping leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kurle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kurle misses with a hook to the body

and Hunter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kurle's guard.
Hunter controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hunter trying to control but Kurle is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kurle is on top in guard.
Kurle wants to pass the guard but Hunter is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Koljo Kurle.
I think Kurle has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
