Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walton Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Dupa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dupa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Shepard to the ground. Dupa is now in Shepard's guard.
Shepard is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dupa dives into side control.
Shepard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dupa on the ground.

Dupa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shepard is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Shepard wants to get back to his feet.
Dupa wants to stand but Shepard has his arm trapped.
Shepard takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dupa is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shepard will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Shepard gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Dupa is trying to work for a kimura but Shepard is defending well.

Shepard tries to kick Dupa off but Dupa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dupa is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Dupa is stalling here. Shepard is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dupa seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Shepard has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Dupa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Dupa has hold of Shepard's hands but Shepard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Shepard lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Shepard wants to control the position but Dupa says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Dupa is looking to take a break and control but Shepard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dupa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dupa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Dupa tries to pass the half guard into mount. Shepard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Dupa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dupa looking to sit in guard and control but Shepard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dupa is pulling down on Shepard's head. It's preventing any offense from Shepard, at least for the moment.
Shepard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dupa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dupa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shepard is aware though and is defending well.
Shepard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dupa trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Jan Dupa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Dupa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shepard napping and manages to drive through into side control!
