Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Lea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deair Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw swinging wildly here.
As Shaw looks to move away, Lea throws a big counter combo but Shaw just gets out of the way.
Lea gets a clinch.
Lea manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lea could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lea avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lea looking for a sweep. Not yet Lea, not yet.
Lea will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shaw wants to pass the guard but Lea is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lea has a closed guard, preventing Shaw from standing up.
Lea is pulling down on Shaw's head to control his posture.

Lea has Shaw pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Shaw shoots in but Lea avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Lea misses its target.
Shaw dives in for a single leg takedown but Lea sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Shaw fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lea avoids it really well and circles away.
Jake Lea has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deair Shaw.
Lea closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lea lands in his opponent's guard.

Lea thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lea slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Lea passes Shaw's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lea trying to mount his opponent but Shaw defends it.
Shaw wants to control but Lea is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lea looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lea tries to stand but can't do so whilst Shaw controls his leg.
Lea passes to side control.
Shaw looks winded!
You can see the frustration on Shaw's face as Lea controls the position.
Lea in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Shaw is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
