Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Berg Captain Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takashi Tiura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takashi Tiura will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Berg Captain Hook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takashi Tiura!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Captain Hook lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tiura backs up against the ropes.
Nice straight punches there by Captain Hook. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Captain Hook.
Captain Hook throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Captain Hook looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Tiura counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Tiura winds up and cracks Captain Hook with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Tiura is looking to take a break and control but Captain Hook is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tiura works his way into side control.
Tiura has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tiura scores with a couple of short elbows.

Tiura thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tiura wants to take a breather but Captain Hook manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Tiura.

Tiura is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Captain Hook is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tiura wants to pass the guard but Captain Hook is keeping the position.

Captain Hook is trying to stand up here but Tiura is controlling him well.
Tiura not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tiura connects with a nice short shot to Captain Hook's temple.

Tiura is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Captain Hook doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tiura.

Captain Hook tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tiura wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Captain Hook takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Tiura tries for a kimura but Captain Hook is defending well.

Captain Hook gets back to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Tiura is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Captain Hook could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Captain Hook is looking to improve his position.

Tiura is nestled in close to Captain Hook, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Tiura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tiura is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Tiura wants to take a breather but Captain Hook is having none of it.
Captain Hook tries to roll over but Tiura keeps him under control.
Captain Hook might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tiura scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takashi Tiura dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Captain Hook misses with a wild combination.
Tiura appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Tiura connects with a body shot that sends Captain Hook's belly button to the back.
Tiura tries to move into range but Captain Hook moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Tiura throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Captain Hook throws a right and a left that Tiura avoids nicely.
Tiura has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Captain Hook throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Tiura gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Berg Captain Hook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Captain Hook swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tiura counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Captain Hook throws a one two combo.
Tiura throws a right and a left that both miss.
Berg Captain Hook is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Captain Hook tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tiura was well out of range. Poor timing from Captain Hook.
Tiura looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Tiura throws a shot from downtown. Captain Hook moves away and avoids it.

Captain Hook throws an overhand right that lands on Tiura's shoulder, as Tiura tries to avoid the shot.
A nice side step and Tiura releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Captain Hook connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Captain Hook cracks the inside of Tiura's front leg.
No joy there for Captain Hook, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Captain Hook takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Captain Hook lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Captain Hook looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Tiura is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Captain Hook with a body shot.
Captain Hook throws a combination that misses

so Tiura counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tiura working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Captain Hook's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tiura looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Let's hope that Tiura has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Tiura passes into half guard.
Tiura lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Tiura trying to control the action but Captain Hook is working from the bottom.
Tiura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Captain Hook with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tiura looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Tiura seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tiura works his way into side control.
Tiura advances to mount.
Captain Hook takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tiura pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takashi Tiura showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Captain Hook misses with a few strikes there.
Tiura fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Captain Hook manages to avoid it.
Captain Hook pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tiura back to the ropes. Captain Hook follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Tiura shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Captain Hook as he avoids it easily.
It looked like Captain Hook was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Captain Hook looks to land a combination. Tiura sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Tiura is rocked!
Captain Hook throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Tiura crashing down! Tiura tries to stagger back to his feet but Captain Hook just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Tiura asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Berg Captain Hook!
