Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zdravko Dren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dren comes to the cage accompanied by GETO BOYS - mind of a lunatic. Smith has chosen 10 Years - All White as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Johnny Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Zdravko Dren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Smith!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith darts in looking for a takedown but Dren gets double underhooks and turns Smith into the cage.
Smith connects with a solid leg kick.
Smith looks to land a body kick but Dren moved away.
A little feinted left hand from Dren on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Dren uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Dren is looking to counter punch.
Smith shoots in but Dren avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dren throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Smith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dren tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dren to the ground. Dren escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zdravko Dren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Smith.
Smith walks into a straight right hand from Dren.

It looks like Johnny Smith has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith misses with a body punch
and Dren counters with a nice uppercut.
Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Smith misses with a jab to the body
and Dren counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dren displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
An attempted straight right counter from Dren misses the target.
Smith motions for Dren to come forward. Smith throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Dren was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Smith feints and then cracks Dren's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dren down.
Both fighters circling a little - Smith finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A head kick misses from Smith.
It looked like Dren wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Dren avoids a kick to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Dren on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dren takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Smith defending well as Dren loads up on a big left hand.
Smith tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Dren throwing a counter right hand but Smith manages to avoid it.
Smith misses with an uppercut. Dren saw that one coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dren takes a kick to the side of the head.
Zdravko Dren is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Smith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Dren pushes Smith off and gets back to his feet.
A head kick by Smith - that's a beauty! Dren is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Smith can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Johnny Smith!
A very excited looking Johnny Smith rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
