The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone swings for the body but Gotovina moves out of range.
Stone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gotovina doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Gotovina shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gotovina showed some decent athleticism there.
Gotovina wants to pass the guard but Stone is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stone can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gotovina throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stone tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gotovina is in Stone's guard.

Gotovina is nestled in close to Stone, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Gotovina lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Stone quite badly. Stone pulls Gotovina in close trying to recover. Gotovina postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Stone on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Stone doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
