Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tatsuya Kawajiri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daft Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawajiri tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Young feints a counter leg kick.
A jab from Young does it's job there.
Kawajiri throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Young.
Young on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Kawajiri tries a head kick but it misses.
Kawajiri moves into range and connects with a jab.

Young throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kawajiri on the side of the head.

Young wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kawajiri has him pressed against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kawajiri.

Young fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kawajiri.
Young buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Kawajiri throws a push kick but Young slaps the foot to one side.
Kawajiri throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Young looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

and Kawajiri counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Young takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Kawajiri moves away from the strike by Young.
Young misses with a looping left.
Kawajiri looks to land a left hand but Young moved out of range nicely.
And Young responds with a good body kick, but Kawajiri manages to step out the way in time.
Young darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kawajiri takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

That was a close round but I would say that Tatsuya Kawajiri will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Young does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Young has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Young looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

As Kawajiri backs off Young throws a huge counter combo but Kawajiri manages to avoid it all.

It seemed like Young was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tatsuya Kawajiri.
I think Kawajiri has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
