Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Graig Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caul Two (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Graig Mullen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Caul Two!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullen slips a jab and a cross from Two.
Two swinging wildly here.
Two misses with the combination.
Two fails in his attempt to clinch.
Two throws a half hearted mid kick.
Two misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Two throws a right hand that Mullen ducks under and follows up with a left that Mullen also avoids with ease.
Mullen went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Two misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Two throws a series of punches but Mullen moves out of range.
Two fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Two instigates a clinch.

Two pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mullen avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Two throws a right and a left that Mullen avoids nicely.
Two misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Two misses with a wild combination.

Two has managed to clinch.

Two pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mullen slips a jab and a cross from Two.
Two throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Two looks winded!

Two moves into range and clinches up with Mullen.
Mullen is trying to break the clinch but Two is controlling him.

Mullen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mullen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Two throws out the jab.
Two throws a nice looking combination but Mullen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mullen seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mullen dodges the punch combination from Two.
Mullen attempts a counter takedown but Two avoids it well and moves away.

Two swinging wildly here.
Mullen tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Two manages to circle out of the way.
Two avoids the head kick by Mullen.
Two falls off balance throwing a combination

and Mullen counters by clinching up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Two tries for a takedown but Mullen manages to get underhooks.
Two keeps control of Mullen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Mullen has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Two regains guard immediately.
Mullen won't allow Two to sweep him here.
Two has momentary wrist control but Mullen slips an elbow through the middle.
Mullen works over Two with some ground and pound from guard.
Mullen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mullen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mullen tries to stand but Two is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Mullen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Two tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mullen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Mullen counters with a left and a right that stings Two.

Mullen avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mullen drives through and clinches with Two against the cage.
Mullen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Mullen breaks the clinch.
Two tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mullen throws a big counter combination but Two scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Two waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mullen.
Two fails with a takedown attempt.
Graig Mullen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caul Two.
A head kick misses from Two.
Two tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mullen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Two stuffs the takedown.
Two throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mullen counters with a three punch combo that has Two backing up. Two nods at Mullen to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mullen moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Caul Two dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mullen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Two is looking to clinch.
Two stalks Mullen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mullen's face. Mullen staggers backwards, shaken.
Mullen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Two defends it nicely.
Two will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Two slaps away a takedown attempt from Mullen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Two shoots in looking for a takedown but Mullen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Two's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Two is breathing heavily.
Mullen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Two.

Mullen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Two napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Two bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Two has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mullen slips a jab and a cross from Two.

Mullen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mullen is looking for a kimura but Two is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mullen to get the leverage.
Two on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Two wants to improve his position but Mullen is controlling well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mullen connects with a nice short shot to Two's temple.

Mullen makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Two is looking to sweep but instead, Mullen has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Two is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mullen scores with a couple of nice shots.

Mullen stands up out of the half guard.
Two swings for the body but Mullen moves out of range.
Two throws a series of punches but Mullen moves out of range.
Two throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mullen.

Mullen is looking for a counter combo.

and Mullen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Two won't be happy with that.

Two takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Graig Mullen will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Mullen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Caul Two seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Two moves in looking to clinch but Mullen pushes him off.

Two closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Two has Mullen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mullen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mullen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Two after a bit of a struggle.

As Two tries to get set, Mullen tries to push him back and clinch up but Two manages to avoid the attempt.

Mullen shoots in for a double leg but Two sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Two steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Mullen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graig Mullen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mullen instigates a clinch.
Mullen tries to score a body lock takedown but Two shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Two is working for takedown but Mullen is calmly controlling the position for now.

No luck for Two with that takedown attempt.

Mullen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mullen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Two is trying to work for a sweep but Mullen has mounted him!

Two is looking to improve his position but Mullen isn't that keen on the idea.

Two is bucking up trying to escape but Mullen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Mullen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Two is wriggling around trying to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Graig Mullen showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mullen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
