Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lester Manning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bigbear Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manning looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Manning closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bear circles away.
Manning shoots and misses
and Manning takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lester Manning. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bear scores with a takedown into Manning's guard.

Bear drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bear jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bear engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Manning swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bear controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bear stands and throws Manning's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Bear moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Manning tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bear controls the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bear decides to stand up, so the ref orders Manning to his feet.
Manning avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bear closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Manning tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Manning is breathing heavily.
Manning is trying to remain composed but Bear is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Bear just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Bear punishes Manning with strikes from the back mount.
Bear has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Manning's body.
It looks like Bear might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Bear is continuing to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bear working for a choke but Manning is defending well.

Bear is looking for a rear naked choke here but Manning reverses the position brilliantly into Bear's guard!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bear is pulling down on Manning's head to control his posture.

Bear tries to clinch up but Manning circles away and keeps his distance.

Manning throws a big counter combination but Bear scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Bear goes for a double leg but Manning avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Manning continues to drive forward.
Lester Manning has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bigbear Bear.

and Manning counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Manning dives in for a single leg takedown but Bear sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Manning connects with a leg kick. Bear looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bear misses with a head kick.
Bear shoots and misses
and Manning counters with a nice body shot.
Manning dives in and grabs Bear's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bear pushes down on Manning's head and hops out.
Bear takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Manning drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bear tries to bench press Manning off him but Manning keeps the position.

Manning cracks Bear with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Bear is not content to let Manning control the position.

Manning tries for a kimura but Bear is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bear is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Manning's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Bigbear Bear will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Manning counters with a three punch combo that has Bear backing up. Bear nods at Manning to acknowledge the strikes.

Bear tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Manning defends well and Bear ends up having to push Manning into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Manning blocks a head kick by Bear.
Manning seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Bear darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Manning tries to roll over but Bear keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Manning tries to get to full guard but Bear has control of the leg.
Bear takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Manning has a hand on Bear's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bear takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Bear putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Bear takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bear looking to control but Manning is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Manning tries to hold on but Bear postures up.

Bear sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Bear has control of Manning's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Manning regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Bear looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bear can't control as he wanted to and Manning manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Bear wants to free his trapped foot but Manning is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bear is thwarting Manning's attempts to control the position.
Lester Manning has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bigbear Bear is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bear perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
