Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Dahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Bergderger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pat Bergderger!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergderger shoots for a double leg takedown but Dahl sprawls well. He's pushed Bergderger's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bergderger has taken the fight to the clinch.

Dahl is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bergderger to keep the fight standing.

Dahl jumps guard and drags Bergderger to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bergderger tries to free his leg and advance position but Dahl is retaining full guard.
Dahl manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bergderger manages to get himself to full guard.

Dahl pushes down on Bergderger's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dahl keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bergderger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bergderger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dahl is working away from the top position though.
Dahl is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Bergderger tries to hold on but Dahl pushes him away.
Bergderger tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dahl tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Dahl is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Dahl extends the arm and Bergderger is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jordan Dahl!
