Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sludge Guts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Guts kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden. Sludge Guts has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hayes is looking to stall here but Guts recovers full guard.

Hayes stands up and waves to Guts to follow him.
Sludge Guts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guts fails with the takedown

and Hayes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Guts's guard now.
Hayes is looking to work some ground and pound but Guts has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hayes keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Guts's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guts wants to sweep but no luck.
Hayes distracts Guts with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Guts has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hayes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hayes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Guts with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hayes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Guts defends it well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Guts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hayes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Guts doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hayes.

Guts on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Guts tries to get out of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A combination from Guts does no damage.
Hayes thuds his shin into the meat of Guts's side.
Hayes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Guts has one foot on Hayes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Well Hayes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
