Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bill Bronson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sambo Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sambo Rambo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

With a record of 19 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sambo Rambo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rambo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bronson sprawls well initially but Rambo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rambo is trying to control the action in half guard but Bronson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bronson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We've been hearing good reports from Bronson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rambo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bronson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bronson!

Sambo Rambo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bronson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rambo doesn't seem bothered though.
Bronson throws a hook to the side of Rambo's head but Rambo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rambo darts in looking for a takedown but Bronson gets double underhooks and turns Rambo into the cage.

Rambo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bronson on his heels. He'll look to pass Bronson's guard now, I'm sure.

Bronson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rambo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bronson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bronson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
