Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Bret Ireland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Lepijewitz!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lepijewitz shoots for a takedown but Ireland saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lepijewitz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ireland closes the distance and clinches.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ireland.

Ireland has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lepijewitz is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Lepijewitz makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Ireland is pulling down on Lepijewitz's head. It's preventing any offense from Lepijewitz, at least for the moment.

Lepijewitz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ireland has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lepijewitz has managed to get both his arms back between Ireland's legs - danger averted.

Horrible takedown attempt by Ireland or perhaps it was just good defense by Lepijewitz, which made it look bad.

Daniel Lepijewitz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Ireland's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Ireland darts in looking for a takedown but Lepijewitz gets double underhooks and turns Ireland into the cage.

Ireland goes for a double leg but Lepijewitz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lepijewitz continues to drive forward.

Lepijewitz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ireland after a bit of a struggle.

Lepijewitz gets control of Ireland's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lepijewitz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ireland misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ireland tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Lepijewitz tries to reverse the position but Ireland maintains control.
Lepijewitz blocking the ground and pound.

Ireland has control of Lepijewitz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lepijewitz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ireland throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Lepijewitz reaches up to try and control the position but Ireland seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Lepijewitz rolls and tries to escape and now Ireland has his back!

Ireland thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Ireland controls the action.
Ireland's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lepijewitz covering up well under a series of strikes from Ireland.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ireland has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lepijewitz's body.
Lepijewitz is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
