Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charles Carlyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oko Poli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Oko Poli!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlyle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Poli circles away quickly and effectively.
Carlyle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carlyle looks to land a combination but Poli avoids it well.
Carlyle lands a head kick!
Poli darts in looking for a takedown but Carlyle gets double underhooks and turns Poli into the cage.
Poli looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Poli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carlyle tries to avoid it but Poli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carlyle to the ground. Carlyle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Charles Carlyle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oko Poli.
Carlyle throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Poli on the side of the head.

Carlyle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
No joy there for Carlyle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Carlyle. Poli shrugs it off though.
Poli shoots for a takedown but Carlyle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Carlyle is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Carlyle lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Carlyle.

Poli shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carlyle but Carlyle pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Carlyle throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Poli stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Carlyle counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Poli tries to move into range but Carlyle moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Poli walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Poli is trying desperately to land a takedown but Carlyle is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Poli.

Carlyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Poli working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carlyle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carlyle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
