Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hansov Assid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hansov Assid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Murdock!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdock turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Murdock lands with a good body shot.
Assid seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Assid takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Murdock lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Murdock lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Assid dives in for a single leg takedown but Murdock sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Assid takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Murdock tries a head kick but it misses.
Assid appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Murdock thows a body kick. Assid tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Murdock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Assid has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Assid counters with a shoot takedown. Murdock fights it but they end up in guard.
Murdock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Assid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Assid pushes down on Murdock's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Assid seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Murdock does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Assid takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Assid has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Hansov Assid has been cut.

Assid chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Murdock can pounce on him.

Murdock lands a big head kick that sends Assid tumbling to the mat! Murdock takes a step backwards and waves Assid back to his feet - he wants the finish!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Assid tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Oh Assid is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Murdock scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Assid doesn't seem bothered though.
Assid seems to have got his legs back now.
Murdock feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Assid's calf.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Murdock! Assid is out on his feet! Murdock rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Assid is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Assid is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
