PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Noir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikita Motrichuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Guy Noir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nikita Motrichuk!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Motrichuk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Noir paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Noir looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Motrichuk misses with a takedown attempt - Noir sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Noir throws a low kick but Motrichuk avoids it.
Noir throws a leg kick but Motrichuk sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Motrichuk has Noir up against the cage in a clinch.
Noir wants to break free but Motrichuk has control.
Noir wants to break free but Motrichuk has control.
Motrichuk keeps control of Noir as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Motrichuk gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Motrichuk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Motrichuk trying to control the position from guard on top but Noir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Motrichuk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Motrichuk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Motrichuk wants to get up but he can't break Noir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Motrichuk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Noir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Motrichuk decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Motrichuk closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Motrichuk tries to advance to mount but can't.
Noir pushes Motrichuk away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Motrichuk gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Motrichuk is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Motrichuk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Noir keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Motrichuk sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Noir is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Motrichuk decides to take the fight back to the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Noir throws a right and a left that Motrichuk avoids nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Motrichuk is taking a breather. Noir says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Motrichuk thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Noir to regain full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Nikita Motrichuk just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Noir scores with the left hand. Motrichuk knows he should have avoided that one.

Motrichuk rushes Noir and presses him up against the cage.
Motrichuk is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Noir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Motrichuk tries to pull guard but Noir won't allow it.
Guy Noir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikita Motrichuk.

Motrichuk is looking for a triangle but Noir pushes his legs off easily.

Noir decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Motrichuk, up you get!

Motrichuk looks for a takedown but Noir sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Motrichuk.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Motrichuk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Noir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Noir is looking to stand up but Motrichuk isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Motrichuk wants to control from the top but Noir keeps moving.
Motrichuk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Motrichuk is looking to stand up but Noir won't let him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Motrichuk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Noir pinned against the cage. Noir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Guy Noir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nikita Motrichuk.
Noir throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
An inside leg kick lands from Motrichuk.
Noir misses with a hook. Motrichuk ducked under it nicely.
Motrichuk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Noir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Motrichuk manages to avoid it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Guy Noir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Noir tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Motrichuk drives through with a takedown into guard.
Guy Noir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nikita Motrichuk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Motrichuk stands up from Noir's guard - Motrichuk perhaps looking for a knockout.

Nikita Motrichuk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Motrichuk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
