Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kid Icarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitsu Mazono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazono shoots in but Icarus avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Icarus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Icarus closes the distance and clinches up with Mazono, looking for a takedown. Icarus pushes Mazono against the cage but Mazono circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Icarus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mazono will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Icarus has managed to clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mazono has eaten all the pies!

It looks like Mitsu Mazono has been cut.

Icarus pulls Mazono into guard.
Icarus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mazono manages to get himself to full guard.

Icarus will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Icarus has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mazono uses from the top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Icarus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mazono but Mazono pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A slow jab from Mazono misses its intended target.
Mazono lands with an uppercut that bounces Icarus off the cage and back into rage.

Icarus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Icarus closes the distance and clinches up with Mazono, looking for a takedown. Icarus pushes Mazono against the cage but Mazono circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Icarus drops Mazono with a left and a right! Oh, Mazono is hurt - Icarus dives into side control looking to finish!

Icarus stands up.
Kid Icarus is winning the standup battle so far.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Icarus! Mazono is out on his feet! Icarus rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Mazono is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Mazono is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
