Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Crespo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trevor Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Crespo!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crespo gets a clinch.
Crespo tries to pull guard but Hall won't allow it.

Crespo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Crespo throws an off balance right hand

and Hall counters with a shoot takedown. Crespo fights it but they end up in guard.
Hall wants to stand but Crespo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hall is stalling in the full guard.
Crespo keeping full guard, as Hall tries to pass.
Crespo wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crespo being controlled here, momentarily.
Crespo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hall engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Crespo controls Hall momentarily but Hall frees himself.
Hall postures up in Crespo's guard and throws a big left but Crespo blocks it.
Hall throws a strike but Crespo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Hall is looking for a triangle but Crespo pushes his legs off easily.
Hall trying to keep a closed guard but Crespo is proving a slippery customer.
Hall keeping moving, preventing Crespo from controlling successfully.

Hall looking for a guillotine here but Crespo defends easily.

Hall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hall can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crespo controls the pace.

Hall throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Crespo escapes and throws Hall's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Hall regains half guard.

Hall is defending against the submission attempts here by Crespo.

Crespo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.

Crespo seems to be working for a kimura but Hall defends the submission attempt.
Hall is pressing down on Crespo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Hall has Crespo pulled in close to control his posture.
Crespo looking to sit in guard and control but Hall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hall throws a strike but Crespo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Crespo slips nicely into half guard.
Hall won't allow Crespo to pass to mount.
Crespo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.
Crespo wants to pass to mount but Hall is defending the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Crespo is taking a breather. Hall says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hall is looking to control Crespo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hall avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Christian Crespo will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Crespo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hall was covering up waiting for the punch and Crespo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Crespo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hall is trying to control the position but Crespo postures up.
Hall with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Crespo can't handle though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hall looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Crespo passes into side control.
Crespo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hall keeps working.

Hall regains half guard.

Hall is looking to control Crespo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hall avoid being mounted?
Crespo tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall is trying to maintain the position but Crespo is very close to passing his half guard.
Hall wants to improve his position but Crespo is controlling well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Crespo throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hall to regain full guard.
Crespo wants to stand and escape but instead Hall has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hall's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Hall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hall with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Crespo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hall manages to get himself to full guard.

Hall has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Crespo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hall.

Crespo wants to control but Hall is keeping him busy.

Crespo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hall to his feet.

Crespo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Crespo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Crespo throws an elbow but Hall slips to the side and avoids it well.
Crespo wants to stand but Hall is controlling his arm.
Hall regains half guard there - taking advantage of Crespo's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Hall is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall is looking for a sweep. Crespo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Crespo uses his free foot to push down on Hall's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christian Crespo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Crespo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hall sprawls well initially but Crespo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Crespo moves nicely into side control.

Crespo decides to stand back up. Crespo steps back and let's Hall get back to his feet.
Crespo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Crespo swings for the body but Hall moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hall closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Crespo is working for takedown but Hall is calmly controlling the position for now.

Crespo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crespo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hall.

Hall gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hall is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Hall has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crespo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hall is pulling down on Crespo's head. It's preventing any offense from Crespo, at least for the moment.

Crespo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hall manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Crespo has Hall in his guard.

Crespo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hall is controlling him.

Crespo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hall manages to get himself to full guard.


Hall is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crespo defends well.
Christian Crespo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Crespo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hall has escaped and now he's on top!

Hall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Crespo, up you get!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Trevor Hall.
I think Crespo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
