Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Face Trip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Lepijewitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Face Trip!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Lepijewitz!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trip misses with a body shot.
Lepijewitz misses with a body kick.
Lepijewitz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lepijewitz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trip paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lepijewitz tries a head kick but it misses.

Trip closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lepijewitz to the mat! Lepijewitz manages to get full guard.
Trip with a nice head shot there.
Lepijewitz wants to sweep but no luck.
Trip is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trip is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Trip drops back looking for a leg! Lepijewitz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lepijewitz manages to kick Trip off! Trip jumps back into Lepijewitz's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Trip controlling the action here.
Lepijewitz is looking to control Trip's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lepijewitz avoid being mounted?
Lepijewitz wants to get back to full guard but Trip has mounted him!
Trip breaks from Lepijewitz's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Trip takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Trip putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Trip is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Trip cracks Lepijewitz with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trip working for a guillotine from mount but Lepijewitz is in no mood to give up.

Trip wants to finish this one by submission but Lepijewitz is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Trip.
Lepijewitz is trying to stand but he's just given Trip his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lepijewitz trying to control the action but Trip just sinks the hooks in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Face Trip dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Trip has a takedown stuffed.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lepijewitz.
Lepijewitz throws a sloppy head kick

and Trip counters by moving into the clinch.
Lepijewitz can't break the clinch.
Trip stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Lepijewitz misses with a hook to the ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trip manages to pull guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lepijewitz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Trip working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lepijewitz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lepijewitz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Trip pulls Lepijewitz in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Trip controls Lepijewitz momentarily but Lepijewitz frees himself.
Trip is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lepijewitz is controlling him.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trip throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lepijewitz's waist but Lepijewitz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Trip off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Face Trip. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A low kick from Trip misses
and Lepijewitz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Face Trip has been cut.
Trip looks for a takedown but Lepijewitz sprawls well.
Lepijewitz looks to land a body kick but Trip moved away.
As Lepijewitz tries to get set, Trip tries to push him back and clinch up but Lepijewitz manages to avoid the attempt.
Trip will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Trip walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lepijewitz shoots in for a double leg but Trip sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lepijewitz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trip tries to avoid it but Lepijewitz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trip to the ground. Trip escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Trip half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Trip shoots for a takedown but Lepijewitz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Trip takes one on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Lepijewitz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Trip was covering up waiting for the punch and Lepijewitz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Trip has his feet on Lepijewitz's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lepijewitz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lepijewitz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Lepijewitz avoids the head kick by Trip.
Lepijewitz unleashes a big counter combination but Trip bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Lepijewitz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A jab from Lepijewitz does it's job there.
Trip is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lepijewitz can do to turn this around?
Trip shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lepijewitz defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Daniel Lepijewitz will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The cut man is working on Face Trip's cut.
That's time! Trip's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Horrible takedown attempt by Lepijewitz or perhaps it was just good defense by Trip, which made it look bad.
Trip shoots in for a takedown but Lepijewitz shows good takedown defense.
Face Trip is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Trip tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lepijewitz swivels and escapes.
Lepijewitz throws a head kick that misses.
Lepijewitz darts in looking for a takedown but Trip gets double underhooks and turns Lepijewitz into the cage.
Trip scores with a nice body kick.
Lepijewitz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trip as he jumps to the side.
Face Trip has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Lepijewitz.

Lepijewitz shoots in looking for a takedown. Trip tries to sprawl out of it but Lepijewitz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trip manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Trip shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lepijewitz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Trip stands up from Lepijewitz's guard - Trip perhaps looking for a knockout.

Trip closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Trip passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lepijewitz!
Lepijewitz wants to control but Trip is having none of it.

Trip controlling the pace for now.

Lepijewitz is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Trip locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Lepijewitz is forced to tap!
