Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJsquad Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mullins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Beast fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mullins to the ground. Beast is now in Mullins's guard.
Mullins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Beast's guard.
Mullins controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mullins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Beast is pulling down on Mullins's head. It's preventing any offense from Mullins, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mullins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beast as he avoids it easily.
Mullins pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Beast can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mullins controls the pace.
Mullins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Beast is proving hard to escape from.
