The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johanessburgson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Palmer!
Johanessburgson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Palmer sprawls well initially but Johanessburgson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Palmer looks like he's trying to stand up.
Johanessburgson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Palmer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Palmer tries to get out of the position.
