PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Tay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tay comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Thats the way (I like it) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Benjamin Tay enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tay as he avoids it easily.
Pearson closes the distance and clinches up with Tay, looking for a takedown. Pearson pushes Tay against the cage but Tay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tay is looking for the big counter here.

Pearson rushes Tay and presses him up against the cage.
Pearson tries to score a body lock takedown but Tay shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Pearson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tay ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tay no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tay is looking to cinch up a triangle. Pearson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Tay's body to avoid the submission. Tay has instead reached around Pearson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Tay arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Benjamin Tay was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
