Gregorovitsj's entrance music is Pink Panther Theme. A fine choice. Riasco is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Mexakinz ft. Xzibit - The Wake Up Show. Boris Gregorovitsj could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Santiago Riasco's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Riasco!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riasco moves away from the strike by Gregorovitsj.
Gregorovitsj lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Horrible takedown attempt by Riasco or perhaps it was just good defense by Gregorovitsj, which made it look bad.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riasco swings around for an armbar but Gregorovitsj sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Riasco's guard.

Riasco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gregorovitsj can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Riasco had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gregorovitsj defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Riasco moves forwards but Gregorovitsj connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Riasco checks a leg kick.
Riasco tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

and Riasco counters with a shoot takedown. Gregorovitsj fights it but they end up in guard.
Gregorovitsj is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riasco is controlling him.

Riasco is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Riasco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gregorovitsj swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Riasco postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gregorovitsj is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Riasco, into his guard.

Gregorovitsj has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Riasco is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Boris Gregorovitsj will probably get the nod.

Riasco on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Gregorovitsj clobbers Riasco with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gregorovitsj is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Gregorovitsj waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Riasco. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Riasco to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gregorovitsj will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Gregorovitsj dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Riasco. That did some damage!
Riasco looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Riasco takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Gregorovitsj's corner calls for a 1-2. Gregorovitsj obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
