Maynard takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Sokolsky avoids the head kick by Maynard.

Sokolsky fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Maynard, pushing him back against the cage.
Sokolsky misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Sokolsky is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Maynard wants to sweep but no luck.
Sokolsky wants to control from the top but Maynard keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maynard's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Sokolsky is holding on here and Maynard must be using up a lot of energy. Sokolsky has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Maynard gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
