Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitsu Misawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mitsu Misawa!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Misawa is trying to defend but Harris finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Harris thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Misawa's head.
Misawa wants to control but Harris is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Harris prevents Misawa from improving his position.
Misawa wants to control but Harris is keeping busy.
Harris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Harris throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Misawa blocking the ground and pound attempt from Harris.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Misawa holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Misawa tries to roll over but Harris keeps him under control.

Misawa is trying to control the position but Harris postures up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harris accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Harris throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Misawa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Harris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Misawa pulls Harris in to control the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Misawa stuffs the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harris is defended easily by Misawa.

Misawa takes the fight into the clinch.
Misawa creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Misawa.
Harris tries to score a body lock takedown but Misawa shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Misawa throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Harris drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Misawa gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Harris takes an elbow to the temple.
Misawa prevents a takedown attempt there.
Misawa working some nice short punches in the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Misawa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Misawa has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Harris seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Misawa can turn it around.
Misawa pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Misawa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Harris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Harris takes a shot to the head.

Misawa misses with a hook from the clinch.
Misawa stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Harris tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Harris tries for a takedown. No joy.
Misawa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Harris dodges an elbow strike from Misawa.
Misawa lands a hook that snaps the head of Harris backwards.
Still in the clinch, Misawa scores with a nice short uppercut.

Misawa cracks Harris with a nice body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Misawa lands a damaging elbow.
Misawa pushes Harris back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.


Harris is rocked!
Mitsu Misawa seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris takes an elbow to the temple.
Oh Harris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Misawa digs a right hand underneath Harris's ribcage. Harris let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Misawa pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Harris! Misawa unloads with more strikes and Harris sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitsu Misawa!
