The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mascot drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wilder really is a fat lump.
Wilder has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Wilder might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wilder looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mascot is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mascot slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Mascot wants to pass the guard but Wilder is keeping the position.
Mascot is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Wilder tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mascot swivels and escapes.

Mascot throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wilder tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mascot is in Wilder's guard.

Wilder manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Mascot pushes Wilder off and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mascot closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wilder's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilder can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mascot controls the pace.
Wilder pulls Mascot in close to prevent any damage.

Mascot stands up and waves to Wilder to follow him.

Mascot drops Wilder with a beautiful combination! Wilder stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mascot is looking for the KO!

It looks like Edgardo Wilder has been cut.

Mascot shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mascot showed some decent athleticism there.
Wilder tries to kick Mascot off in order to stand up. Mascot Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Wilder is rocked!

Oh Wilder is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wilder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mascot on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mascot has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Wilder seems to have got his legs back now.

Mascot shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Wilder is on queer street and Mascot is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
