The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hess gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Stinson Mosby wants to pass the guard but Hess is keeping the position.
Stinson Mosby is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hess looking for a sweep. Not yet Hess, not yet.
Hess has Stinson Mosby pulled in close to control his posture.
Hess knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stinson Mosby on the ground.
Stinson Mosby passes Hess's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hess controlling the position well.
Stinson Mosby is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stinson Mosby is trying to control. Hess wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hess might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stinson Mosby is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hess is just riding it out for now. Stinson Mosby eventually gives up the hold.
Hess preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Stinson Mosby tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hess knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hess wants to get back to full guard.
Stinson Mosby takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hess flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Stinson Mosby is trying to work for a kimura but Hess is defending well.

Stinson Mosby thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Stinson Mosby wants to control but Hess is keeping him busy.
Hess is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Stinson Mosby has hold of Hess's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Hess seems comfortable defending it but Stinson Mosby has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hess is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hess is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Stinson Mosby couldn't care less - he's delighted!
