The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcpeeny throws a head kick that misses.
Mcpeeny is looking to clinch but Hayes is avoiding it.
Mcpeeny lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hayes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcpeeny pinned against the cage. Mcpeeny gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mcpeeny drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mcpeeny jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mcpeeny lands a couple of digs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcpeeny drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hayes dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcpeeny wants to sweep but no luck.

Mcpeeny has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hayes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mcpeeny pushes Hayes off and gets back to his feet.

and Mcpeeny counters with a huge left! Hayes is in big trouble! He's backing up but Mcpeeny isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hayes from any more damage. A dominating finish by Mcpeeny!
