Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bee Jay!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jay has time to react.
Jay attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Jay has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griffin manages to avoid it.

Jay fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Griffin, pushing him back against the ropes.
Griffin tries to score a body lock takedown but Jay shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Jay goes for a takedown attempt but Griffin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing reports that Griffin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Griffin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griffin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

I would just about give that final round to Bee Jay.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bee Jay opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
