Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Williams Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Manor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trey Manor has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Williams Harper's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Williams Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Trey Manor!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manor moves into range and clinches up with Harper.

Manor lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Manor tries to pass to full mount but Harper defends it.
Harper looks like he's trying to stand up.
Harper tries to get to full guard but Manor has control of the leg.
Harper tries to kick Manor off but Manor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Harper is staying active underneath Manor, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harper wants to get back to his feet.
Manor blocks the strikes from Harper.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Harper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Harper looks like he's trying to stand up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Harper clinches up with Manor and pushes him back against the cage.

Manor blocks a body shot from Harper.

Manor has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Harper is trying to keep an underhook but Manor manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Harper pushes Manor off and gets back to his feet.

Manor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Harper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harper is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Harper prevents Manor from improving his position.
Harper winds up and cracks Manor with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Manor trying to control but Harper postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Manor looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harper is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Manor is just riding it out for now. Harper eventually gives up the hold.
Manor wants to control but Harper is keeping busy.
Manor is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Manor wants to control the action here but instead Harper manages to pass to full mount!

Harper moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Manor has worked his arm free - good work by Manor!

You can see the frustration on Manor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Manor has closed the distance and engaged Harper in a clinch.
Manor on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Manor avoiding damage as Harper throws knees to the body.
Harper prevents Manor from breaking the clinch.

Manor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Manor shoots in and gets a takedown into Harper's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Harper manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Manor gets control of Harper's arms and successfully pulls guard. Manor will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Manor wants to sweep here but Harper controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manor wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Harper is now in half guard.

Manor wants to stand back up but Harper manages to pass into side control.

Harper working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Manor is trying to control Harper's posture but Harper avoids it.

Harper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Manor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Harper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Harper cracks Manor with a big right hand but Manor just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Harper lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Manor down.

Harper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Manor can do to turn this around?
Harper scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Manor to see if he's OK.

Manor regains half guard.
Manor is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Harper scores with a couple of nice shots.
Manor moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Manor tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Manor is still trying to improve position.
Harper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Manor's head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Harper's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Manor pushes Harper off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Manor darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Manor is breathing heavily.
Manor stops Harper from getting back to his feet.
Manor is stalling here. Harper is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Manor seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Harper has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Harper is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Manor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Harper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Manor is looking for a sweep.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Manor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Manor trying to control the position from guard on top but Harper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Manor is working Harper over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Harper wants to get back to his feet but Manor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Manor stands and steps away. Harper gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Manor looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Harper is looking to stand back up but Manor counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Harper.

It looks like Manor is going to stand back up.

Harper wants to get back to his feet.
Manor moves nicely into side control.
Manor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Manor cracks Harper with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Harper tries to escape but Manor is in control.
Harper tries to improve position but can't.
Harper is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Harper is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Manor is controlling him well.
Manor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harper keeps working.

Manor has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Harper shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Manor is trying to defend but Harper finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Williams Harper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Manor is looking to escape.

Manor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Harper pulls his head out easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Manor wants to control but Harper is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Harper looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Harper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Trey Manor.
I think Harper has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
