The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman tries for a takedown but Wilder sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bowman shoots in but no luck this time.
Bowman looks for a takedown but Wilder sprawls well.
Edgardo Wilder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Bowman.
Wilder closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bowman sneaks out the side door and pushes Wilder away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Wilder is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
