Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tobias Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by Remedy by Seether. The crowd seem to be enjoying Bowman's choice of entrance music: Dropkick Murphys - Warriors Code. Tobias Black had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tobias Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Casey Bowman!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bowman lands with a right hand.
Bowman lunges at Black with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Black's hand.
Tobias Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bowman clinches.
Black trying to land knees to the body.
I was talking to Black's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Black tries to land a knee to the head but Bowman blocks with his arms.
Black stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Black keeps control of Bowman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowman wants to get back to striking at distance but Black won't allow it.
Black is pressed up against the cage. Bowman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Black down to the mat. Black avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Black pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Bowman is looking to land body kicks.
Bowman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Black. Bowman does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bowman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Bowman looking to sit in guard and control but Black gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bowman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Black is controlling him.

Bowman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Black defends well.
Bowman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Black's guard.

Bowman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Black, up you get!
Tobias Black is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Black moves out of range as Bowman throws a body kick.
Black throws a quick counter head kick but Bowman was just out of range.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bowman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Black lands a big head kick that sends Bowman tumbling to the mat! Black takes a step backwards and waves Bowman back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Casey Bowman has been cut.
Bowman throws a series of punches but Black avoids them all with ease.
Black takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The fighters circling - Bowman throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Black takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Black moves out of range of the body kick from Bowman.
Black throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Bowman counters with a nice uppercut.
Black blocks a head kick by Bowman.

Black lands a big uppercut and Bowman crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bowman looks OK. Black waves Bowman back to his feet!

Bowman is rocked!

Bowman is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Black Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Bowman is out cold, face down on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tobias Black!
Tobias Black was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
