Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Holder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Zastudil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Darrell Holder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Zastudil!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zastudil connects with a leg kick. Holder looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Zastudil drives through with a takedown into Holder's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Zastudil controls from within his opponent's guard.
Zastudil is looking to pass into half guard but Holder pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Holder is in guard.

Holder postures up in Zastudil's guard and throws a big left but Zastudil blocks it.

Holder stands up and waves to Zastudil to follow him.
Holder could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Zastudil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holder throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zastudil works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Holder is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Zastudil seems keen to control Holder's posture.
Holder is looking to work some ground and pound but Zastudil has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holder postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Holder has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Holder drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holder jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Zastudil is striking but Holder is not phased and passes to half guard.

Holder is trying to work for a kimura but Zastudil is defending well.
Zastudil controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Holder winds up and cracks Zastudil with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Holder tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Zastudil.

Zastudil is concentrating on defense, preventing Holder from advancing position.
Zastudil throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Holder is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Zastudil is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zastudil can do anything to dispel that myth.

Zastudil wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Holder throws a one two combo.

Holder closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zastudil did well to prevent Holder getting side control.

Holder lands a nice forearm strike.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Zastudil closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Holder did well to prevent Zastudil getting side control.
Holder is trying to maintain the position but Zastudil is very close to passing his half guard.

Zastudil cracks Holder with a solid left hand.
Zastudil slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Zastudil is trying to get an arm triangle but Holder is defending well.
Holder tries to improve position but can't.
Zastudil throws a strike aimed at the side of Holder's head but Holder avoids it well.

Holder is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Zastudil wants to stand but Holder has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Zastudil slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Holder has a closed guard, preventing Zastudil from standing up.

Luke Zastudil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A frustrated look appears on Holder's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Zastudil decides to pull guard.
Holder postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Holder stands and steps away. Zastudil gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Zastudil moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Zastudil drives through and clinches with Holder against the cage.

Darrell Holder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Zastudil looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Holder wants to sweep but no luck.

Holder tries to roll over but Zastudil keeps him under control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Zastudil trying to control the action but Holder is working from the bottom.
Zastudil wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Holder uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Holder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zastudil sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Holder's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Holder is defending against the submission attempts here by Zastudil.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Zastudil connects with a high kick.


It looks like Darrell Holder has been cut.

Holder prevents Zastudil from improving his position.
Zastudil is holding on to half guard well.
Zastudil wants to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Holder is nestled in close to Zastudil, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Holder thows a huge punch but Zastudil dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Luke Zastudil comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Zastudil has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
