Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Pacheco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zoo Zoo Buu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Buu.

Buu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pacheco's guard.
Buu forces his way into half guard.

Pacheco kicks Buu off and gets back to his feet.

Buu lands a big uppercut and Pacheco crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Pacheco looks OK. Buu waves Pacheco back to his feet!

It looks like Simon Pacheco has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Buu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pacheco at a distance.
Pacheco tries a head kick but it misses.

Buu pushes Pacheco up against the cage in a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Buu takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Pacheco wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Buu has him pressed against the cage.

Buu jumps guard and drags Pacheco to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Pacheco has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pacheco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Buu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pacheco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Buu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pacheco is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Buu is aware though and is defending well.

Pacheco looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Buu has picked Pacheco up and slammed him! Pacheco can't keep hold of the triangle and Buu manages to pass to side control!

Pacheco sneaks out the side door and pushes Buu away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Buu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pacheco to the ground. Buu is now in Pacheco's guard.

Pacheco is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Pacheco's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Buu decides to stand back up. Buu steps back and let's Pacheco get back to his feet.

Buu takes the fight into the clinch.

Pacheco postures up and lands a big shot to Buu's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Buu has Pacheco up against the cage in a clinch.

Pacheco is fighting off a takedown attempt but Buu is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pacheco to the mat. Pacheco regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Pacheco has his feet on Buu's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Buu is trying to break the clinch but Pacheco is controlling him.

Buu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Buu has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pacheco uses from the top position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Pacheco motions for Buu to come forward. Pacheco throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Zoo Zoo Buu seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Buu bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pacheco's head backwards.

Pacheco has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Pacheco wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pacheco wants to get back to striking at distance but Buu won't allow it.
A nice left hand lands by Buu.
Pacheco tries to land knees in the clinch but Buu avoids the damage to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Buu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Buu has hold of one of Pacheco's legs. Pacheco is fighting the takedown attempt but Buu gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Buu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Buu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pacheco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Buu has managed to get both his arms back between Pacheco's legs - danger averted.

Buu dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Pacheco has had enough and taps out.
