Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mehmet Muhammad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Bodahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Bodahl!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muhammad lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Danga de danga de dang - Muhammad scores with a four punch combination!
Muhammad throws out a powerful jab.
Bodahl shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Muhammad counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bodahl takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bodahl looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Muhammad lands with a hook. Bodahl tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bodahl on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bodahl is still on wobbly legs! Can Muhammad finish him?
Bodahl gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Muhammad counters with a two punch combo.
Mehmet Muhammad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan Bodahl.
Muhammad stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Muhammad wants it to stay on the feet.

Muhammad cracks Bodahl with a big right hand and Bodahl goes down!
Muhammad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bodahl has his foot on Muhammad's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Muhammad works his way back into a safe position though.

Muhammad drops back looking for a leg! Bodahl is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bodahl manages to kick Muhammad off! Muhammad jumps back into Bodahl's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Muhammad is looking for a kimura but Bodahl is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Muhammad to get the leverage.
Muhammad takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Muhammad has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bodahl won't allow Muhammad to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Muhammad lands a couple of good shots and Bodahl has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Muhammad fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bodahl looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bodahl gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Muhammad lands with an uppercut that bounces Bodahl off the cage and back into range.
Muhammad lands a jab to the nose.
Muhammad drops Bodahl with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Bodahl! Muhammad dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mehmet Muhammad!
A relieved looking Mehmet Muhammad thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
