Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carmelo Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Medici (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medici blocks a head kick by Maxwell.
Medici is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Medici bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Medici shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maxwell's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Maxwell gets to his feet. Medici looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Maxwell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Medici sprawls well initially but Maxwell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Maxwell is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

A close round but Vincent Medici will probably get the nod.
