Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mason Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Das Boot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mason Redman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Das Boot!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redman tries to clinch up but Boot circles away and keeps his distance.
Boot lands a nice shot that snaps Redman's head back.
Redman wants to land a leg kick but Boot is out of range.

Boot changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Redman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Boot scoring with punches and elbows.
Boot throws a strike aimed at the side of Redman's head but Redman avoids it well.
Redman avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Boot.
Redman tries to buck Boot off but Boot is having none of it.

Boot swings around for an armbar but Redman sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boot's guard.

Boot had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Redman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Boot Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Redman's back instead.
Boot is trying to stick to Redman's back but Redman is turning into Boot. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Boot's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Redman.

Boot has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Redman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Redman misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ground and pound from Redman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Redman wants to free his trapped foot but Boot is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Redman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Boot is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Redman jumps into side control!

Redman is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Boot defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Redman lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Boot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mason Redman dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Redman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Redman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Redman is desperately trying to improve his position but Boot has a good base and remains in mount.

Boot lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Boot jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Redman manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Mason Redman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Redman is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Boot's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Boot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Redman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Redman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mason Redman will probably get the nod.
That's time! Redman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Redman shoots in but Boot avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boot swats away the attempt to clinch by Redman.

and Boot counters with a series of strikes. Redman will be more careful next time no doubt.

Boot forces Redman back against the ropes and clinches.
Redman jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boot walks away with a smile on his face. Redman gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Boot will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Boot thuds his right hand into Redman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boot misses with a two punch combination.

and Boot makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Boot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Redman swivels and escapes.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Redman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Redman circles away quickly and effectively.
Boot throws an overhand right that lands on Redman's shoulder, as Redman tries to avoid the shot.

Mason Redman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Boot counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Boot.

Redman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Boot paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Das Boot comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Redman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
