Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Deleon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valentine Hodge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deleon shoots in for a takedown but Hodge shows good takedown defense.
Deleon looks to throw a body kick

and Hodge counters with a takedown into side control.
Hodge tries to advance to mount but Deleon instead regains half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Deleon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hodge stalling away here and it's allowed Deleon to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Deleon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hodge manages to get himself to full guard.

Hodge controls Deleon momentarily but Deleon frees himself.
Deleon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Deleon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hodge wants to stand and escape but Deleon is having none of it.

Deleon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Deleon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hodge is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hodge has escaped and now he's on top!

Deleon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hodge defends it easily.

Hodge got a little sloppy there for a moment and Deleon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hodge has managed to get both his arms back between Deleon's legs - danger averted.

Deleon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hodge is aware though and is defending well.

Deleon pushes a forearm under Hodge's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hodge is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
