Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Loon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Loon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelson Key!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Loon!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Key takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Loon with a hook.
Loon connects with the punch.
Loon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Key has closed the distance and engaged Loon in a clinch.

Loon drags the fight down to the ground.

Loon looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Key passes into half guard.
Key with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Loon looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Key is keen to just control but Loon is a slippery customer.

Loon looking for submissions off his back.
Key could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Loon with the active half guard here but Key passes nicely into side control.
Key trying to control the action but Loon is working from the bottom.
Loon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Key wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Key wants to stand but Loon has his arm trapped.
Key scores with a couple of short elbows.
Loon is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Key moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Loon.
Loon is trying to get back to half guard.

Key is trying to get an arm triangle but Loon is defending well.

Key thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Key is looking to take a break and control but Loon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Loon is looking for a sweep.

Loon looks to move to half guard but instead Key has passed into mount! Damn!
Key tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.

Key with a couple of short strikes.

Key is trying to stick to Loon's back but Loon is turning into Key. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Key's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Loon.

Loon tries to stand but Key is controlling from the bottom.
Key has Loon pulled in close to control his posture.

Key is working an open guard so Loon takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Loon throws a one two combo.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Loon connects with a single shot there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd cheers as Loon lands an impressive looking overhand right. Key doesn't seem phased though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Loon dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Loon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Key drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Key clinches with his opponent.

Loon manages to pull guard.
Key showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Loon looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Key has picked Loon up and slammed him! Loon can't keep hold of the triangle and Key manages to pass to side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Key is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Loon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Key stands up.
Nelson Key is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Loon throws out a powerful jab.
Key has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Key will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Key throws a body shot but no joy.
Key walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Loon is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Key is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Loon lands with a hook. Key tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Loon connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Donk. Loon catches Key right on the button with a cross.


Key is rocked!
Loon throws a pinpoint strike between Key's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Key crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Loon scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kyle Loon!
