Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Grietje (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Fanning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fanning slips a jab and a cross from Grietje.

Fanning is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fanning ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fanning no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fanning is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fanning is looking for a kimura but Grietje is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fanning to get the leverage.

Fanning postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Grietje to stand up.
Grietje delivers a nice body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Fanning. No joy for Grietje on that attempt.

Fanning has hold of Grietje's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Grietje manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Grietje knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fanning on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fanning working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Grietje is doing well to defend. Fanning seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Grietje is forced to tap and this one is over!
