Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seymour Taps!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Becker!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taps shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Taps was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Taps trying to control but Becker is having none of it.
Taps throws some wild stikes that Becker manages to avoid easily.
Becker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Taps breaks from Becker's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Becker tries to reverse the position but Taps maintains control.
Taps tries to control but Becker wriggling away.

Taps is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Becker can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Taps isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Becker stacks Taps on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Becker!

Taps has gone for a leg lock! Becker slips out almost immediately though and dives into Taps's guard.

Becker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taps swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Becker chips away with some ground and pound.

Taps is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Taps escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Becker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Taps bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Becker's guard.
Luke Becker has got the better of the ground game so far.

Taps throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Becker wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Becker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taps can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Taps drops back, looking for a kneebar! Becker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Becker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Becker!

Taps manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Taps seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Becker won't allow Taps to pass to mount.
Becker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Taps stalling away here and it's allowed Becker to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Luke Becker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
