Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shingo Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kindo Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kindo Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Park looks to land a combination but Suzuki avoids it well.
Suzuki checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Park throws a jab when Suzuki was well out of range.

Shingo Park seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Park feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Suzuki's calf.
Suzuki slips a jab and a cross from Park.
Park goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Suzuki closes the distance and clinches up with Park, looking for a takedown. Suzuki pushes Park against the ropes but Park circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shingo Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kindo Suzuki.

Suzuki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Park's waist but Park gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Suzuki off to one side.

Kindo Suzuki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kindo Suzuki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Suzuki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
