Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giovanni Muratore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Morgan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Giovanni Muratore's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Giovanni Muratore!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Morgan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Muratore doesn't seem phased though.
Muratore swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Morgan stuffs the takedown attempt from Muratore. Muratore gets slowly back to his feet.
Muratore is looking to land body kicks.
It looked like Morgan wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Muratore goes for a double leg but Morgan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Morgan continues to drive forward.
Morgan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morgan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Morgan misses with a wild combination.
Morgan backing away here, and Muratore unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Muratore uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Morgan.
We've been hearing reports that Morgan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Muratore shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Muratore was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morgan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Muratore has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Muratore wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Morgan, who protects the arm well.
Muratore is looking to take a break and control but Morgan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Muratore looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Morgan is avoiding damage well.
Morgan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Morgan is looking for a sweep.
Morgan pushes Muratore away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Muratore gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Muratore wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Morgan, who protects the arm well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Muratore seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Muratore scoring with punches and elbows.
Morgan is trying to buck Muratore off.
Muratore wants to control but Morgan is keeping him busy.

Muratore is trying to get an arm triangle but Morgan is defending well.
Morgan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Morgan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Muratore asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Morgan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Morgan manages to get back to half guard.

Muratore is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan wants to get back to his feet.
Muratore working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Morgan tries to kick Muratore off but Muratore keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Morgan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Morgan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Muratore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Morgan counters with a nice uppercut.
Andrew Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giovanni Muratore.
Muratore takes one to the chin there.
Morgan swings for the body but Muratore moves out of range.
Muratore wants to counter with a clinch but Morgan pushes him away.
Muratore looks to land a combination but Morgan avoids it well.
Morgan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Muratore has a takedown stuffed.
Morgan lands with a nice combination. Muratore backs away looking to recover.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good standup being displayed there by Morgan as he connects with a hook.
Morgan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Muratore circles away quickly and effectively.
Morgan cracks Muratore with an open hand slap.
Muratore keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morgan, as that shot connected.
Morgan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Muratore gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Morgan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Muratore takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Morgan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


Muratore is rocked!
Morgan throws a monster overhand right that drops Muratore! Morgan follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrew Morgan!
A very excited looking Andrew Morgan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
