Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Alexs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Conroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dylan Conroy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocky Alexs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Conroy!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexs lands a nice shot that snaps Conroy's head back.
Conroy tries to close the distance and clinch but Alexs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Conroy clinches with his opponent.
Stalling in the clinch from Conroy.
Conroy stops a takedown attempt from Alexs.
Alexs can't break the clinch.
Alexs tries to land a knee to the head but Conroy blocks with his arms.

Conroy manages to break the clinch.

Conroy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Conroy wants to control from the top but Alexs keeps moving.
Conroy wants to stand but Alexs has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Conroy is standing up over Alexs. Alexs looks to escape but Conroy dives into side control.

Conroy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Alexs struggling a bit here.
Alexs is breathing heavily.

Alexs tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Conroy presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Alexs regains half guard.

Conroy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alexs is trying to maintain the position but Conroy is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Alexs is refusing to be controlled, as Conroy sits in half guard.
Conroy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Alexs kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Alexs keeping hold of Conroy's head, controlling as best he can.
Alexs is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Conroy trying to control from Alexs's half guard. Alexs has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Conroy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alexs is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Alexs looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Alexs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Conroy working a defensive guard here.
Alexs stays in close to Conroy's body and controls the position.
Alexs looking to sit in guard and control but Conroy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alexs trying to control the position.

Conroy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A telegraphed right hand from Alexs misses the target.
Alexs throws a right and a left that Conroy avoids nicely.

Conroy has managed to clinch.
Conroy stalling in the clinch.
Conroy landing knees to the head.
Alexs wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Conroy has him pressed against the cage.
Alexs can't break the clinch.
Conroy lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Alexs is looking to break free of the clinch but Conroy has double underhooks.
Conroy gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Conroy breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dylan Conroy dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Conroy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alexs tries to avoid it but Conroy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alexs to the ground. Alexs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Conroy shoots in for a takedown but Alexs shows good takedown defense.
Alexs fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alexs throws a head kick but Conroy moves out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Conroy.
Alexs tries to clinch

and Conroy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Conroy.
Conroy keeps control of Alexs as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Alexs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Conroy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Conroy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Alexs gets caught flat footed, as Conroy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Alexs looking to control.
Conroy sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Conroy trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Conroy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Conroy stops Alexs from standing up.
Conroy trying to control but Alexs is working from the bottom.
Conroy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Alexs thuds a left hand into Conroy's body.
Alexs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Conroy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Conroy looks to land a left hand but Alexs moved out of range nicely.
Conroy on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Alexs tries to clinch

and Conroy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Conroy.
Alexs has Conroy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Conroy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Alexs fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocky Alexs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Come on Conroy - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Conroy pulls guard.
Alexs passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conroy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Alexs is working for a kimura but Conroy is defending it quite comfortably.

Alexs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Conroy actively working from the bottom here.
Alexs is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Conroy trying to control but Alexs postures up.
Conroy has hold of Alexs's hands but Alexs slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Alexs wants to pass to mount but Conroy is defending the position.

Alexs throws a series of punches but Conroy moves out of range.
Alexs keeps the fight on the outside.
Conroy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alexs clinches but Conroy breaks the clinch

and Conroy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Conroy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Alexs is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Conroy, into his guard.
Alexs passes Conroy's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dylan Conroy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Alexs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Alexs cracks a nice hook into Conroy's ribs.
Alexs misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Conroy rushes Alexs and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Conroy lands a nice knee to the body.
Conroy lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Alexs is trying to break free.
Conroy connects with a nasty looking knee right to Alexs's face.
The is referee keeping an eye on Conroy - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Still in the clinch, Conroy scores with a nice short uppercut.
Conroy taking a breather.
Alexs wants to break the clinch but can't.
Conroy lands a nice knee to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Conroy.
Alexs can't break the clinch.

Conroy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Conroy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Alexs is looking to advance position but Conroy has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Conroy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alexs can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Alexs is desperately trying to improve his position but Conroy has a good base and remains in mount.

Conroy working for a guillotine from mount but Alexs is in no mood to give up.
Alexs tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Conroy trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Alexs tries to hold on but Conroy postures up.
Conroy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Conroy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Alexs is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Alexs and Conroy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Alexs is trying to control Conroy's posture but Conroy avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Conroy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Alexs's shoulder. That is not cool.
Conroy looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Alexs is avoiding damage well.

Conroy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Alexs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Conroy tries for a kimura but Alexs is defending well.
Conroy tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Alexs is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Conroy is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alexs sees it coming and defends easily.
Conroy throwing shots but Alexs is blocking nicely.
Conroy tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alexs knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Conroy gets a takedown into half guard.
Alexs is looking to control Conroy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alexs avoid being mounted?

And that's the end of the fight!
Dylan Conroy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Conroy winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
